If you want to up your wrinkle free regiment, there are some awesome ways you can help diminish the appearance of wrinkles, and one of them is by including the right foods in your diet. Here are some great foods that will help tighten your skin and at the same time give you necessary nutrients:

Oils: Regularly massaging olive oil, coconut oil, almond oil or vitamin E oil into your skin will help to moisturize and even regenerate skin cells. As the oil penetrates into the skin, it provides protection and keeps the skin soft and supple.

Ginger: Like olive oil, ginger is high in antioxidants, and is a great remedy for wrinkles. Ginger also inhibits the breakdown of elastin, one of the main causes of wrinkles and fine lines.

Almonds: Almonds contain fiber, calcium, zinc, folic acid, vitamin E, and oleic acid which when combined, can delay the aging process and treat wrinkles. A skin treatment that may be beneficial for your skin can be made by soaking almonds overnight, and in the morning, remove the skin and grind the almonds into a thick paste. Apply the paste to your skin where you have wrinkles, and leave it on for about 30 minutes. Wash off with lukewarm water. You can do this daily for optimum results.

Bananas: You can also make a paste out of bananas and use it as a skin treatment ritual. Bananas are rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Grab two ripe bananas and mash them into a thick paste, and apply to the wrinkled areas. Leave it on for about 30 minutes and was off with lukewarm water.

Aloe Vera: The aloe vera plant contains malic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid that’s also found in many fruits and vegetables. Malic acid also works as an exfoliant and helps to get rid of dead skin cells. Cut an aloe vera leaf and extract the gel. Apply the fresh gel onto your skin and leave it on for about 20 minutes. Wash off with lukewarm water.

Other foods you may want to consider are dark colored fruits and vegetables, legumes, beans, eggs, liver, tuna, sun flower seeds, figs, salmon, whole grains and shellfish. You’ve heard this before, and you’re hearing it again. Drink water. Lots of water. Even though water isn’t part of the food group, it needs to be mentioned here only because water keeps the skin hydrated. One of the reasons for the formation of wrinkles is due to loss of moisture, so make sure you drink plenty of water.

So while SilcSkin anti-wrinkle pads will get rid of those pesky wrinkles, it’s a definite advantage to incorporate a wrinkle-free diet into your lifestyle as well. Hitting wrinkles from all sides will help you feel and look awesome quicker, and will go a long way in maintaining a wrinkle-free lifestyle!
